Meet Monica Quitoriano

Everyone loves Monica with her big smile and even bigger heart. Monica helps to manage the front office and also assist the doctors with patient care doing physical therapy modalities.

She has worked in a chiropractic office for 11 years. Her passion for her job stems from chiropractic’s role in maintaining optimal health so patients can stay active. Through the years she has really enjoyed all the wonderful patients she has had the chance to work with and has gained some lasting friends.

Meet Kellie Down

We first met Kellie as a patient in 2005.  Soon after, her love of chiropractic lead her to start working part time at SLO Wellness Center in September 2006.  She enjoys working at the front desk, welcoming patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, doing patient check-in and check-out and anything else that needs to be done. 

Her biggest passions are as a wife and as a mother.  In her free time you can find her with her with family, as well as camping, sewing and swimming.

Meet Sandra Garcia

Sandra has been part of the SLO Wellness Team for over 1 year. Her role in the office is Insurance and Patient Billing. She can help you with the unknown questions about Chiropractic coverage and benefits. Sandra is extremely efficient and knowledgeable about the confusing world of insurance. She continues her education to bring you the best and most timely information regarding billing.

Sandra is married and has two boys and a granddaughter. She also has 3 Shetland Sheep dogs, Jonah, Benny and Khloe that she trains for obedience and fun. In her free time, Sandra enjoys camping, going to concerts and spending time with her family.

Meet Jasmine Byrd

Jasmine loves to spend time with her boyfriend and take special care of her little Maltese, Sammi, and cat Purrl. She has her certificate in Medical Office Systems and her AA in Liberal Arts and hopes to move on to get her Bachelor’s degree soon.

 Jasmine also has a passion for baking and sewing and loves to experiment with new recipes and projects.

 Jasmine loves to explore new places and since she hasn’t lived here in San Luis Obispo that long, is still trying to see all that there is to offer. Feel free to give her some suggestions!

Meet Virginia Marum

Virginia Marum is the newest face at SLO Wellness assisting the doctors with patient care doing physical therapy modalities.  Virginia moved back to California after a 4 year absence.  Virginia developed a personal interest in the health field, working with many different practitioners including chiropractors and acupuncturist, as well as being an OT and PT assistant while receiving her Biomechanics and Pre/Post Natal Fitness Training from the Cooper Research Institute in Dallas, Texas.  Alongside of her interest in health, Virginia holds a B.A. in both Studio Arts and Art History from UCSC and shows her work nationally.  You can find her art in galleries throughout the West and East Coasts as well as in private collections. 

Meet Paula Wood

Paula is a Chiropractor’s Assistant at SLO Wellness Center. She grew up on a 48ft Catamaran with her parents, sister and yellow lab. She traveled on the boat around Central America for 6 years of her childhood and also spent time in The Maine et Loire, France, the birthplace of her mother. In addition to her exciting childhood, another interesting fact about Paula is that she is fluent in French and speaks some Spanish.

Paula’s professional background is in Medical Assisting, and is also a nationally registered EMT, but on her decision to choose a different path, she transformed her focus to the natural arts of healing and health maintenance, thus finding a perfect home at SLO Wellness Center.

Paula has a beautiful baby girl named Eva and she is proud to say that she was born at home ALL NATURAL on June 8^th 2011!
